Creative New Zealand invites proposals for the official New Zealand presentation at the 59th La Biennale di Venezia – Venice Biennale 2021.
As New Zealand’s 10th official presentation at the Biennale the most prestigious event on the international contemporary visual arts calendar, Creative New Zealand is pleased to again offer support for an artist or curator-led presentation.
New Zealand’s legacy of presenting ambitious, relevant and innovative exhibitions at the Biennale has resonated with audiences both internationally and at home.
Proposals can be for a single or multiple artist concept, or of any media or artform.
To submit a proposal applicants must contact Creative New Zealand to discuss their eligibility.
Call for Proposals information is available on the Creative New Zealand website. The deadline for submitting a proposal is 5pm, Friday 19 July, 2019.
A decision on the successful proposal will be advised in September.
